Try this: Settings - device tab - display - screen mode Try out different screen modes and see which one looks the best to you. I prefer dynamic. Hope this helps

With all due respect, I've been using the note 3 for quite some time now. The last time i got 6 hours was before kitkat. Math doesn't really help here!
