I tried doing what you suggested, but I could only find a folder called wpa_supplicant. There was no file by the name wpa_supplicant.conf there, neither in /wifi nor in /wpa_supplicant. Nevertheless, I tried renaming /wpa_supplicant, but that didn't fix the problem. I've tried a factory reset...
