i have done everything that has been said in thie thread and i still cannot receive email when i select push. I have to set it to sync every 5 minutes

I am having the same issue with my note 3 and i keep reading about this solution, unchecking the auto network switch and it just seems like a wrong fix for the issue. If I uncheck this box wouldn't i have to manually connect to a wifi network? and then manually change to mobile data?

I gave up and stopped syncing gmail. Instead i created my gmail account in the email app but i need help, how can i delete all of the messages i already have in the gmail app? should i just "remove the account" and create it again without the gmail option?
