the brilliant idea of switching seamlessly between bluetooth, wifi and data is also its biggest issue and I think why 'ok google' doesnt actually work half the time for me. if wifi is on, but reception is poor, its not aggressive enough in switching (proably to conserve battery). IMHO it needs...

Well, i can separately turn off BT. Perhaps I have different sw to you. I am getting all my messages.If I try to make a call it says I need to switch off airplane mode. Im delighted about this, as most of the time I have the phone on me

I checked it. Cellular is off and only BT is on, and drain is now 2.5% based on wear batt stats. and I am getting my messages from the phone.

So I turned on airplane mode and I'm still getting notifications via bluetooth. Watch functions exactly as before and battery use has dropped to half! So can leave it in airplane unless you need cellular. That's a diamond in the rough... Posted via the Android Central App
