WOW, really? Where did you read it from??? I've uninstalled google app and switched to cortana, because it was impossible to use phone with lagging notifications. And I'm afraid to go back to google now...

Yep. It seems like something is making some phone process sleep and then when it's finally woken up for a short period of time the app is being finally installed. I also noticed that in the evening everything worked just fine... So not sure what's going on. Could it be some application security...

same for me om s8+ att... actually even more - seems all background updates are stopping when application install is pending. Tried all things I could think of.. No luck :(
