I should have clarified by saying if I wanted to upgrade to a custom ROM would it be possible. It doesn't look like Samsung released an actual latest firmware for this phone besides whatever is on my phone at the moment. I am able to attain root access to the phone.

I'm looking to downgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.1.1. The current baseband is I747UCDMG2. Model is SGH-I747. I've read that going from 4.3 > 4.1.x can result in problems, so I wanted to ask if given this baseband it is okay to downgrade. Thanks.

Someone lent me their broken phone, model SGH-I747. When I plug it into a charger (wall or computer USB), it will vibrate, then show the SAMSUNG logo, and then shut down. Sometimes it will make it to the Samsung Galaxy S3 part, but then shuts off. Trying to go into Recovery or Download mode...

Yes, I've already looked at wifi settings, but there doesn't seem to be any setting. Only lets me choose the wifi network. I found an app called Better wifi on/off that seems to be doing what I need it to do.
