Thats wrong. Maps and navigation use gps but rely on 3G data(and dare I say sometimes a lot more than browsing) to download route information and map tiles.

Yes. Some apps are poorly coded and don't play nice with the relatively new qHD resolution. Expect devs to change this as the evo 3d becomes a blockbuster :)

Anybody else think it's ironic that he was given an EVO 3D before ANYONE because he was the advocate for the device, yet he's bashing the phone going as far as to say he thinks it's a gimmick and it's not for him? What a waste. Sprint should've sent it to someone who actually appreciates it.

Phil, How is browsing perfomance? Does it stutter from time to time or is it consistently smooth? How is scrolling with flash on?

Anyone know if stock sells out, they will stop taking orders? I'd hate to try get it on the 21st and end up on backorder. They might have only a few set aside for premier online orders and now that we know the link will be public, it could sell out in minutes. I have a preorder at radio shack...

The 3D uses a newer chipset that's more power efficient and supports ultra fast scanning so it connects to 4G way faster. It's a Sequans chip, I read that on a press release somewhere.

No push notifications? That is the single most important feature IMO. eBuddy has been great for me now that they've added C2DM push notifications. It's also incredibly reliable, more so than Beejive and Trillian, which I paid $15 for.
