Thank you because I was having the exact same problem and this was why.

I am really glad that I am not the only one having problems with this. It automatically starts downloading my photos into my Google Drive and that is not where I want them. I just want to put them directly into a folder on my desktop. I am also open to suggestions. Thank you.
