Does "TeamViewer Host" need to be installed on both my phone and hers for me to troubleshoot remotely without "allow access"

I've been searching for a way to help my 77yo mom with her android phone issues. She is not technical so when I walk her through troubleshooting, she does not understand fully. Will TeamViewer work for me to help her out without her having to give me "allow" access? Is there any other solution...
