I had the same problem I installed a new sim card that didn't work. I bit the bullet and did a factory reset....... updated perfectly I hope this helps

Re: Service unavailable everything seems to work well I have been on wi-fi when I try and update. I have read some posts from last year where this happened and a lot of folks changed sim cards to fix it ....?

I recently got a replacement from verizon CLNR it came with android 4.1.2 version I535VRBMB1 now I am hearing about software updates and when I try and update it tells me "service unavailable" is this normal ????? seems like I should be able to get the lataest update now if everything is fixed...

I have been using this case for a couple of weeks...... It doesn't really show you when it is charging. I put the battery status icon up in the notification bar and you can tell if it is on by the lightning bolt .......
