UPDATE: I've stopped the updater in processes. I'm wondering if I can root my phone while the update is stopped; use titanium backup and freeze the updater. Anyone?

I bought my samsung galaxy s4 about a month ago. Its still stock and not rooted. I've heard that the new update for ATT makes it "impossible" to root your phone. I want to be able to root my phone in the future and therefore dont want this update to go through. Its at 27% downloaded so far out...
