I just sent feedback through the app to Google. I hope that they will reply soon because I did the same thing on the Google support web site quite some time ago and they never replied yet. Is anyone else experiencing this bug? Maybe there's an alternate navigation app compatible with Android...

The only way for me to get the UK voice back is to change the app language to United States then back again to UK each time before I use Google Maps. I hope developers at Google read these posts we post on AndreoidCentral concerning Google software.

I tried it last night but it still changed back to United States English even though the setting indicates it should be UK English. I hope they fix the bug soon.

I cleared the data and that also cleared the cache so I will let you know if it changes the language again after a few new routes. I hope that will keep it from switching in the future.

I will try that tonight to see if the sound will go on the phone but it sounds so much better when coming through the car's speakers though. Could this be a bug with Android Auto related to Google Maps?

Hi, Looks like that ability is only available to locked phones by a carrier. Mine is an unlocked phone from Bestbuy. I found the Samsung support forum and posted over there as well to see if they can push an update so I will be current.

Hi, My screen is very much different under "Language and input". Looks like the Galaxy S7 Edge is different than your phone because my other phone which is the Samsung Galaxy J7 does allow me to change or add the Language and has the same screens as your screen shots. Truly, Emad
