    Leaked 2.2 vs Official 2.2

Yes, I sometimes have problems with the media player with the leaked 2.2. Your comments about the official 2.2 problems with the media player (which I use everyday driving to work) is the main reason I plan to wait it out with the leaked version.

Thanks for the replies. I probably need to do this at some point. Anybody else see a difference or have an opinion?

    Leaked 2.2 vs Official 2.2

For those that have been enjoying the leaked 2.2 on the DX (like I have), and then reverted back to 2.1 so you could load this new 2.2 OTA update -- have you noticed anything different? Was it worth the trouble? I'm on the fence whether to update or not. My DX works fine on the leak. One...

car dock or desktop dock question

What about using a case with the car mount? I just got the motorola brand car mount, and it has a spacer that can be removed to allow a case on your X. But, the cheap $10 basketweave silicone case I bought is too big. Is there a case out there that will work with the car mount?

!!!!!!warning about verizon 32gb sd card for $100 bucks!!!!!

The 16GB card that comes with the Droid X is a class 4 (at least mine is). The specs say the Droid X can handle Class 6 cards. The difference in transfer speed between a clsas 2 and a class 6 is probably about 2-3 times faster - a noticable difference.

Everyone still getting a Droid X?

It will be at least a year before 4G comes to Shreveport, LA, so I might as well get a good 3G phone for the next year or so.

    Rooted X?

I bet it gets rooted after the 2.2 update I don't think anyone will root this phone until they get to check out an OS update. Somewhere in that 2.2 update is a key to unlocking the phone. Some very smart guy will figure it out, I'm sure.

    Should early adopters beware?

I think we will be OK to get the "first" Unlike the Iphone, the Droid X has been in the hands of reviewers - including this site's reviewer. With the Iphone, nobody had one until all those people stood in line, then they found out all the problems it had.
