    Messages "loading"

Yeah, unfortunately the problem came back for me as well. :( I still don't have Facebook contacts sync'ing, so it's something else that's [also] corrupting the contacts....

Is anyone having issues with their text messaging app after the update?

Agreed. I tried disabling all my contact syncs (Facebook, Twitter, GroupMe, etc.) one at a time for several days each and none of that fixed the problem, until I followed the directions above to purge all my phone contacts and re-sync from Google.

Been about 20hrs since I did purge and re-sync contacts with no Facebook sync and no more slowness. Thanks!

Any solution to this issue? I've got the same problem. The messages thread list shows up but getting the messages of any individual thread takes 2-3 MINUTES. It seems to be a phonebook/contacts issue because when you go into a thread it only shows the phone number digits not the contact name...

    ## debug hash codes

Coming from the world of the Palm Treo I knew of various hash codes that would enable debug info. I thought I'd try a few on the 4G LTE, and several of them worked: ##RTN# ##DATA# ##DEBUG# The info in those might be of use to some of you. Dial those codes from the phone screen dialer to...

    SGP Steinheil screen protector cutouts?

No cutouts on the Ultra Fine, i.e. anti-glare, and no problems with the proximity sensor.

SGP screen protectors are now on sale

I got my UltraFine, i.e. anti-glare, today and installed it. Tested the proximity sensor and don't seem to have any issues with it. Putting my finger ~2" and closer from the sensor will activate it, otherwise the screen stays on. I love the smooth feel of the Steinheil. I found the gorilla...

EVO LTE Issues/Problems you are having

I'm using AlarmClockPlus which was fine on my old Epic4G for two years. No "WiFi setting for alarm". Given the large number of people complaining about time zone issues I'm not inclined to think this is a third-part app conflict. I've since switched to manual setting of time/date/zone vs...

EVO LTE Issues/Problems you are having

Last night at 10:30pm I looked at my phone and the clock was showing 9:30pm. I pulled up the Time/Date settings and the time zone was showing Mountain time. The phone appears to have done this all by itself. This has horrible implications for missing clock alarms and calendar appointment...

Issue with sd card-mp3's and videos not recognized

Similar situation with SD card ported over from Epic4G. File in Music folder originally showed up in Google Play Music. But after dragging/dropping more files to Music folder it causes ONLY the new files to appear in Google Play Music and none of the old ones are there. The behavior is...
