Just got mine :] *not note 7 promo* *ordered august 24th*

Yup^ I didn't pay for extra shipping, got the free one and my phone is being delivered later today. It's funny though because my note 8 which I ordered on August 24th with no promo, was on backorder early September and then on September 8th, it shipped out. Got lucky I assume.

They place a charge when you first place the order, then they release the funds, it's a way to make sure you have money there I'm the first place. So no charge will appear, until launch date I believe. Rest assured, you did not hit the jackpot lol

I suggest you should, I cancelled my order from Samsung and ordered from BB several hours ago, and my order is already preparing to ship on best buy. Not gonna deal with Samsung's stupidity.

On the phone with a Samsung rep, cancelling my backorder, and going to Best buy instead for the unlocked version.

Can you cancel backordered orders? If I were to speak to a Samsung rep? Or am I stuck with my backorder

Makes no sense though seeing as how people who weren't on the 7 promo ordered unlocked and and ordered after me, yet still had their orders confirmed and shipped.

I'm not a former 7 user but I pre-ordered unlocked on the 24th, at 4am est. Only four hours after the announcement. I figure it's impossible to have my preorder backordered, but it happened. And I don't know how.
