WHAT! That is the only reason I bought the GS. IMO any watch used as simply a companion device is a total waste of money. My GS acts as my work phone (used as a proper phone Mon-Fri) and my Note 4 is my private phone (24/7). No more pockets full of phones!

After a month of continuous use it still amazes me how fantastic it is. The best solution i have found for my usage scenario. I carry two phones - work(Gear S) and personal(Note 4). I use the Gear S as a seperate number and mostly remote connected (except weekends). Now i dont have pockets...

Maybe there has been a modification to the early manufacturing runs or variation in the mouldings. . . but for the record my charger fits very easily and with a reassuring click when engaged. Seems perfectly well designed in my case.

Ha... The battery backup/charger is a well advertised feature of the gear s. My ref to the manual was for all the less obvious features. You buy a cutting edge device with all sorts of amazing features and don't read the manual? You hang around tech sites and post on tech news groups and still...

Wow. How is it that ppl buy these cutting edge devices and they don't have a clue? Try reading the manual... even tho it might be an online PDF.

Great story, but your co-worker is looking at your phone at work and thinks that somehow, calling it will get you??? I guess only if they know you have a Gear S and know the intricacies of how it works...

thx again for the reply. I suspect you just tapped on the email icon. If you go to the settings icon is there anything about setting up email or setting up an account? Also, have you tried connecting it to a PC to copy music onto it? If that doesn't work any idea how you get music onto it?
