Still waiting, but if I remember right it took me about 3 weeks to get the 4.4.4 update so I'm not holding my breath. I suspect they roll out the update as they confirm compatibility with your installed apps, so maybe some of my obscure apps are holding me back.

You can ask T-Mobile to disable their voicemail. I was able to do it through chat support. Then voicemail is always through GV. EDIT: This assumes you have a separate GV # and are forwarding to T-Mobile.

The biggest annoyance about this for me is that I can't find anyway to use voice command for texts with GV.

Had the LG Thrive. Everything is better on the N5, though I kind of enjoyed having the most awful smartphone with the latest version of Android, thanks to CM. But, yeah, I'm pretty happy with the upgrade.

Like many of you, I'm using Google Voice as my primary number and forwarding to my carrier number. Has anybody figured out how to use "OK, Google" voice control to send an SMS using your Google Voice number? Thanks.

Personally I haven't tried it, but according to the TMO FAQ it should be possible.

Is there some reason that your VoIP doesn't work over cellular data?

And if you are using Google Voice to forward calls you can get a Skype number for $5/month and their unlimited calls plan for $2.99. So unlimited/unlimited/5gb for about $38/month.
