Any point in upgrading from KitKat?

I haven't even upgraded my tablet to Android 5. From my point of view lack of storage is the main problem with this tablet, and 5 reduces available storage further. Now Android 6 is out, and from what I've read adoptable storage is disabled. The only other significant advantage left in 6 is the...

I thought this phone (GT-I9192) had Android 4.4.2

Thanks for the quick reply. Some googling showed me that it should be possible to update to a firmware from another region, so I'll try that.

I thought this phone (GT-I9192) had Android 4.4.2

I bought a refurbished Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9192. The phone says it has Android 4.2.2 installed, and Kies claims that it has the latest firmware, NB1 (KSA). I thought that 4.4.2 was available for this phone.

Tablet S or iPad Mini 2? Help me decide Please!!

As a gamer, I'm sorry that I got the Tab S 8.4. It's a lovely tablet, I enjoy reading on it, but it has compatibility problems with quite a few games I want to play, reportedly due to bad Mali drivers (according to Double Fine, whose Broken Age and Grim Fandago I would like to play but aren't...

Lollipop update finally in Singapore for 8.4 s tablet

Do you have an SD card or large games installed? I want to know if there's an improvement to SD card use. I'm perpetually low on space (with a 64GB card installed) and the Lollipop update warns me that another 950MB will be taken.

    Are you happy with 16GB?

I wonder if any of you tried to install the Lollipop update. It's warning me that it would take an extra 950MB minimum (and need 3GB free to install). I'd hate to have more lost storage space.

8.4 or 10.5 - Give me your opinions

Personally I would have picked another tablet if I knew what I know now. But that's because I like playing games and the Tab S (either) is not a good choice for this. Aside for that I find the 8.4's screen to be very nice and I love the low weight.

Question about Android 5 and SD card

I'm still waiting for Android 5 for my Tab S 8.4, and figured that since you 10.5 guys already got to experience it, you'd be able to help me. The thing I hate most about the 16GB Tab S is the lack of storage space, and the microSD card being almost totally useless. If I install a 2.5GB game...

    Tablet for light use?

I'm looking to buy a tablet for an old guy who'll only be using it while traveling for e-mail, skype, etc. He's currently using my old Onda V712 (which was my backup tablet), which is good enough for his needs, but its battery life sucks (perhaps a result of the custom firmware). (The specs of...

    Are you happy with 16GB?

The S2 is rumoured to be 8.0" and 4:3 resolution (2048 x 1536), so it might end up slightly inferior than the S for content consumption. (Me, I just hope that Lollipop sorts out the SD card limitation. I may be able to get a 32GB version from the US, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.)

    Are you happy with 16GB?

I hate it. This is my one sore point with this tablet. On my Nexus 7 2012 I could install most of the stuff I wanted, and on the Tab S with 64GB microSD I can't. I hope that the Lollipop update will help in some way (I've read that some external flash restrictions are removed), but for now I...

Any reason to upgrade to 5.0.2?

I think that the lack of RAM and slow storage are more of an issue than the GPU speed. Overclocking might help a bit, but I'm not sure I want a warmer, more power hungry tablet. Battery life isn't great as is, and that's one reason I thought Lollipop might be good, because it promised...

Any reason to upgrade to 5.0.2?

I'm mainly using my Nexus 7 for games (currently playing Knights of the Old Republic). (I think I need a new tablet, but the lack of a Nexus 7 2014 meant I'm still waiting to buy one.) Kitkat brought some real improvement there, with better memory management, which meant games might not get...

Any reason to upgrade to 5.0.2?

I have a 32GB Nexus 7 2012 with Android 4.4.4. I passed on the 5.0 upgrade and I'm happy I didn't take it. Now 5.0.2 is being offered. I'd like to know if there's any benefit to upgrading. I mean, would something actually work better if I do? Faster? Better battery life? Better memory handling...
