I believe that even stock, out of the box, you can use the HDMI out to watch any video on the device. It's even supposed to be a complete mirror of what you see on the screen, but from what I've read, it only activates when you are playing a video. It is definitely not only for the video camera...

Are you using the USB cable provided with the Triumph? I tried using the USB cable I used for my Optimus V and it doesn't work, but the cable included does.

I noticed that too, but am too scared to mess with it. It looks like it's adhered to the screen pretty well.

As far as I can tell, that's talking about the CDMA band the phone supports, not the speed of the CPU.

And you are plugging the phone into the FM transmitter through the headphone jack right? If you plug headphones into there is the volume normal, or is it low as well?

Here's mine. Very simple. Using Go Launcher. On Gingerbread using aospCMod ROM. Live Wallpaper and the built-in power widget. I find the Live Wallpaper doesn't actually take much battery, and it looks nice so I keep it on.

Does the FM transmitter work fine with something else? We need to narrow down if the problem is with the FM transmitter or the phone.

I got it when it was the free app on the Amazon appstore as well, and the widget isn't working for me either. Sounds like it's a problem with the version from Amazon?

Yup, they have a much wider selection of phones. However, they are not really connected to VM in USA, except by name. They are run by completely different people.

Yup, just had to exchange my Optimus V at a Target in San Diego (it kept restarting, even completely stock), and was surprised to see that Target had raised it to $199 as well. Luckily I was able to exchange the phone without paying the difference. Supply and demand at work!
