It feels more like rubber. And maybe. That area of the back tends to heat up more than the rest when the phone is going through extensive use, YouTube, streaming video, etc.

It's stuck on. It pertrudes off the surface like a sticker would. I picked at a corner a little bit and it's a sticker of some sort. It might just be extra padding for the battery and internals. Not sure though. It feels thicker than a regular sticker.
