do you happen to be using a case that has a kickstand with a Magnet to keep it closed? that was an issue with the Note when trying to use the Spen. The Spen would be unresponsive where the magnet on the case was located on the back of the phone.

You can only change thr background. You used to be able to change the bubble color, but now it looks like your stuck with yellow unless you change the theme

Go into settings, go under apps, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner, go into default apps and under home screen what does it say? "TouchWiz Home". Case closed. Even Samsung itself names it TouchWiz still. I understand what you are saying but that's what it's till called on the phone.

You have to long press on the home screen, go into homescreen settings and activate it.

You could always swipe down from the top of the screen to access the notification shade but not from anywhere on the screen like you can with the swipe down gesture in Nova launcher. Previously, the swipe down and swipe up gesture on the homescreen in TouchWiz has been designated for the app...
