Like many others, I'm having the same time-out problem on my tablet, using wi-fi. I've tried several solution options; none work. However, the Play Store on my Galaxy S4 smartphone works fine. I'm surprised Google hasn't stepped up to addressing this problem. I wonder if my email to them...

I can get the Play Store to search items after performing your suggestion, but just clicking the icon later still doesn't work. Must keep using the search icon..... :(

I don't get it! How can some say they get better (closeup) pics with the protective film removed when the actual camera lens uses the hole (doughnut hole around the plastic) to take the pic? Yes, I saw some sample pics, but..... fishy??

My proximity sensor problem was caused by the OtterBox Defender case. Took it off, all sensors worked great, put it back on and sensor problem resumed. The case has a tall ridge above the sensors. This must affect those sensors.
