I spent enough money on the S10 I'm currently typing this response on. Does the S20 look sweet? Sure it does. But can I justify spending another $1K+ on a phone that's only marginally better for my needs than the phone I'm currently rocking on? Nope. Do I really need a 100Mpxl camera when I...
I walked into Worst Buy last night itching to get my hands on a new tablet to replace my slow and sluggish Asus Transformer TF700T. Long story about that tablet, but anyway, my eyes gleaned at this expensive Note Pro 12.2 and I knew I had to have it. But I needed a physical keyboard as well --...
I seriously doubt Asus will do anything more from a firmware update standard for the TF700. I've got to the point with that tablet running so sluggish and no luck unlocking the bootloader (despite how many gazillion times I tried running the unlock app only to get "network error" or "invalid...
You asked how the sweet Jelly Bean tasted in my TF700T, so now I reply: Yum yum yum. Although I did have an issue the first time I tried downloading the sweetness of Jelly Bean--the tablet would get to 99% then stay there. WTF I wondered. So I tried again and it worked without a hitch the...
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't it not Asus who makes the Nexus 7? Do you actually own an Infinity tablet? If you did, you wouldn't be making this comment. Mine works with no issues (save for one nagging issue involving some of the 'hotkeys' on the keyboard dock being slow to respond...
I fell asleep tapping that "check update" button since almost the day after I bought this TF-700T. When I was shocked to read something other than "There is no update..." I immediately thought the same thing (in fact, I even tweeted about the experience.) Then came the realization this update...
My almost daily ritual with my Infinity since the Jelly Bean release on the older, less capable TF300 has been to check to see if Asus has given we Infinity owners the sweet goodness of Android 4.1.1 -- imagine this tablet with all that Buttery goodness! Only to mope when the familiar words...
I got the new (20110711 build) update this morning as well. I like that this makes the tablet seem a bit faster zipping through homescreens. Hopefully this is the precursor to the "we're testing it now!" real update (to Honeycomb 3.2).
I've not had issues with the speakers on this EeePad (other than they're too feint even jacked up full blast). Then again, I've generally used my Bluetooth headphones with them, which quashes the issue, at least when there's only me listening to it.
Seriously you ask? That MicroSD card can store anything that's not apps (music, videos, ROMs etc.) When I bought this Eeepad, I bought a 16Gb MicroSD card specifically so I can load it up with music to play while screwing around with it. The keyboard dock has its own full-sized SD card slot...
Likewise with me. Being able to type on a physical keyboard sure beats typing on a virtual one. Add to it the fact I no longer have to actually hold the tablet when using it and the extra battery life and the fact closing the thing up gives you added protection are huge bonuses. Too bad the...
Just saying hello to you all from my handy Asus Eee Pad (complete with the awesome keyboard dock). Hope to get some neat info from everyone here to make this thing work right. Hope to share my experiences as well.
