Thanks to everyone that provided the disconnect battery/pull fuse idea. My problem was with the iPhone 6s and Ford sync in a 2011 escape. I sometimes in the past had problems where I had to turn off/on bluetooth on the phone before sync would connect. Also had to do a master reset 1 or 2...
