I had the same trouble. Since upgrading to Outlook 2016, Android-Sync can no longer find my Outlook profile. What I did was go to my old tablet with Outlook 2013 still installed which links to the same PST file that my Outlook 2016 uses (through my network, but not at the same time of course)...
