i agree with OP best phone i have owned, and best android phone out there. It works, Its fast, its reliable and the battery is finally not a problem.

because u dont have the same number of screens to the left and right of your home screen. if u have google now on left and two screens to the right, this happens... u will get same problem even with custom launchers, so always make sure the home screen is dead center of the others

OP....i had the same dilemma... gladly my co worker who shares cube with me got the Moto X Pure.... got to use it and what not... VERY nice device.... but once the 6P came out it became Option #2.... I got the 6P.... and having to be able to use both of them..... i say get the 6P... SD cards...

the internal phone/battery circuitry is designed to accommodate for phone being plugged in for extended periods of time. you will be just fine

i wont use a case the first few days.... i did buy a spigen case for it... i WILL use it for when i go outside for the whole day ( i work on an office) but i will be buying a skin.. likely a dbrand skin or slickwraps.... that should also be good protection... it worked well for my N5
