I actually just confirmed this with Samsung through Twitter. I'm really upset they limited the one feature that people really wanted from this update. I haven't wanted to deal with rooting the device, but it seems like the only way to get something that's truly functional.

That was the main reason I wanted the upgrade too. Have you been able to confirm that this is definitely not possible? I've been looking at how to change the default storage for a couple of hours now, but am reluctant to format my sd card and find I only have the portable storage option.
