Not sure if you have looked at Simple Mobile? If there is decent AT&T coverage in your area it might be worth a look. They issue you a SIM for free or under 10 bucks. Take a look at their prices and compare. I believe they beat Straight Talk.

The press release gives more specifics in regard to Andriod development/integration possibilities.... But most useful, for developers and manufacturers. The end user would see the benefit(s) down-the-road so to speak. If they can do for Android what they did for Windows Mobile(older versions)...
