Just wanted to give you guys an update. I exchanged my Nexus 7 and no longer have the issue described above. The frame around the glass is even all around as opposed to my original where the glass was higher one one edge.

I think there maybe something wrong with my Nexus 7. If I hold it on it sides with one hand and move my forearm up and down, I can feel and hear something shift. If I perform the same action but hold it by pinching the glass and back, it feels and sounds solid. It maybe the glass separation...
