    Case for G7

Wife and I each got a G7 over the weekend. I went with the Anccer case for my phone. It's very slim, though the feel is pretty slick. Just got it today and I'm not sure if I like the feel in the hand. it is probably the slimmest fitting case I've ever gotten for a smart phone. My wife went with...

    Extremely Disappointing Image Quality?

This is the first thing I thought when I saw op's pic of the bike. It looks cloudy, like he smudged the camera lens. First thing I would do is gently wipe it clean with something, then try again. If it still looks that way, I would say there's something wrong with the camera and op should get...

    Feedback on Google Assistant button?

As shipments are rolling in, I'm curious about your impressions on the Google Assistant button. Do you find it useful, or more of a gimmick? On previous phones, did you use the long-press on the home button to access the assistant? If so, do you use the dedicated button on the G7 comparatively...

    Recommended screen protector?

For those who have bought a G7, what screen protector did you buy? My understanding is that the screen is slightly rounded at the edges, so I would want to make sure to get a protector that wouldn't have that halo effect around the edges.

    Always-on display- thoughts?

I also love the aod. I don't have any time settings for it (meaning it's on all the time) and haven't noticed any issues with sot or screen burn.

    Power button not working great

Does the G6 have knock on/off like previous G phones? I have the G5 and I almost never use the power button to turn the phone off.

    Any issues with GPS?

I currently have a G5, and while it's been a solid phone overall, the one gripe I've had has been the subpar and inconsistent GPS performance. Lots of known issues that came to light with the G5 in general. I am wondering if anyone has noticed any similar issues with the G6 so far?

Unexpected boot screen on T-Mobile variant

So, turns out I'm just an ID10T. When I disabled the PIN unlock, the phone booted without requiring PIN entry. When I went to re-enable the PIN unlock option, I saw these options: I had previously selected "Require PIN to power on phone", but must not have understood what that would mean. By...

Unexpected boot screen on T-Mobile variant

Under Settings > Display > Lock Screen > Select screen lock, I've chosen the option for PIN unlock. As far as I understand, you have to choose one of the options there in order to use the fingerprint sensor as well. Anyway, the first time I saw that boot screen, I just tried the PIN I had set...

Unexpected boot screen on T-Mobile variant

Interesting. Well, at least that tells me that particular option isn't what's requiring the login when booting up. thisisjason, do you have any idea where I would find the decryption settings you reference?

Unexpected boot screen on T-Mobile variant

Interesting. I didn't knowingly set anything for this, but I just noticed under Settings > General > Fingerprints & Security, there is an option for "Encrypt phone" and it is set to "Encrypted". But the option is greyed out and I can't change it. Can you guys confirm if this is the same on your...

Unexpected boot screen on T-Mobile variant

One thing I've noticed since I've had my G5 is that when I turn it off and back on, I am prompted to enter a pin in an odd screen. At first, even though it was different from what I'd seen previously on my G4 and other Android phones, I just chalked it up to being the way the G5 works. But...
