I'm having the same experience exactly. My "USB 2.0 Camera (Etron Technology, Inc.)" scope works on my pc laptop just fine but my KitKat phone doesn't detect it, Lollipop tablet detects it but can't see out of it. Tried a buttload of apps, including the one linked to by wheelerpr. Darn the bad...
