i also went inside adb shell and remounted. tried again. still not working. ???

ok i guess i am doing it correctly. i don't put it on my sd card after re-reading instructions. this bat thing is supposedly going to install it itself. but this is what i get when i run the cmd... daemon not running. starting it now daemon started successfully remounting/system <dev/stil12>...

haha yes. i did all that. update.zip is installed correctly. only problem i'm having now is with the adb commands. i have downloaded adb manager and i realize i need to understand how to use it to continue with this guide. anyone willing to help me figure out adb? i'm very good with instructions...

ok nevermind, i figured out how to install cwm. only i didn't know what to select when it gave options after holding down "u" to boot, so i selected reboot lol. everything seems normal. still i have no idea if cwm worked or if i was supposed to get a different screen or whatnot....

I know this must sound silly, but i'm completely and utterly new to root 'n romin'. before i try this lovely method, should i have the latest updates on my replenish? or is it safe to do a complete hardware reset on my phone? i have all my pics and messages and other stuff all backed up already...
