I'm new to the forum, but I had this same issue. My browsing history on my MotoG7 Power suddenly disappeared. I just cleared cache and data, and did a force stop as suggested and I now have a 'Recommended For You' list. I know there is a way to switch that back to my list of recent searches, but...
