Actually a very good design. If you are using a guest account it would be because you don't want someone accessing your account/settings etc... therefore screen lock security would be a must. You wouldn't want the guest to just go in and disable it. The unfortunate part is that as usual, Google...

It is a big change. In my opinion, I would wipe everything and install. If OTA do a factory reset. So many bugs can be solved by a factory reset. But as stated, just my opinion.

I have a similar issue. I have wifi set to stay awake even during sleep but I have noticed that when I woke up this morning and went to use my phone it had to reconnect to the wifi. (No reset required, but still annoying) I don't want to have to turn data off as I will forget to turn it back...

Use a third party app. There are a few that handle exchange now.

Out of curiosity, what was your battery life? I don't find my battery life to be bad, but I guess it is subjective. I will flash the update later today...after a nap..and let you know what I think.

In the settings menu...under accounts...tap Google...the tap your Google account...tap the 3 dots top corner and select remove account. I would reboot the phone...the go to same place...settings...accounts...and add your google account back with new password.

What apk did you install? Are you able to log into google via the webpage? Have you removed your google account from the settings menu in your phone and re added it with the new password?

If you don't use the app, why not disable it? Settings/apps/all

It may be that the update messed with your phone. This happened to my old N4, stock unrooted. If the factory reset doesn't fix it you may need to side load the update. You can do this with Wug Fresh toolkit...Google it..you need a PC. Choose the bootloop/not working properly option.

I would try powering off and reinserting your Sim card. If that doesn't work add the T-Mobile APN manually
