I agree, there's a problem, and I think software is more the issue than the hardware. My GPS status finds the sats just fine. Maybe wait 10 seconds. Click over to Maps, and it's still in searching mode. Sure if you're in the clear (outside) and wait 5 minutes it will find the satellites...
