Yes, there the order is respected as soon as you modify the tracknumber. If i connect my smartphone to my pc and use WMP to open the smartphone folder where the songs are located they appear in the correct order. So something is fooling Play Music

Hi, thanks for the reply ...maybe a more lengthy explanation. i edited the tracknumbers on my PC (with Windows Media Player) and copied the songs to my smartphone where they showed in the correct order. That was ok. Then i noticed with the iTag app that some songs didn't have a tracknumber...

I prepared a music album on my PC and edited the ID3 tags to force the order in which the songs are played. After having copied them to a folder on my Nexus, Google Play Music app does not respect this order. How can i correct that ?
