    Samsung Pay on Verizon

No I didn't get his tag. Good to know about that. Anyway it's ok, he probably just didn't know. I'll let it go this time :)

    Samsung Pay on Verizon

Got an email from Samsung support which lists all the cards supported, and also has instructions to do a force stop, clear cache, and clear data. After I tried that, my problems are fixed. I was able to re-register my Amex card and attempt to pay with it. Yea! Here's the steps from Samsung...

    Samsung Pay on Verizon

Sharing my experience... I have a VZW Note 5. I found Samsung Pay on Google Play yesterday. Was expecting an OTA phone update but never got one. Installed and successfully registered my CITI and AMEX cards. I did a dry test and it seemed to work. Then it all went downhill after I re-registered...

What does everyone think of the "reversed S Pen" debacle?

Just to clarify, the screenshot I posted is from the User Guide. The installed User Guide is actually pretty comprehensive - please check it out for yourself if you have not seen it. There is another Getting to Know Your Phone paper pamphlet that also talks about the S Pen, again no warning...

What does everyone think of the "reversed S Pen" debacle?

But those are online manuals hosted on Samsung's servers right? The ones that came with the phone don't have the warning. Can you check? A few people have checked the manuals/User Guide that did come with the phone - no warnings there. For example, here's the S Pen page from the installed User...

What does everyone think of the "reversed S Pen" debacle?

I don't know when they put that warning in the online manual. But it's definitely not in anything that came with the phone, which includes a pretty lengthy software User Guide buried away under My InfoZone widget/Help (at least on my VZW phone). In the installed User Guide, there is a S Pen...

What should Samsung do about the stuck S Pen thing?

Wow there it is... the elusive User Guide. Great find! Thanks. Yup I can also confirm there's no warning in the S Pen section on the User Guide that is on the phone. Verizon widgets and such things get deleted first thing on my phone LOL. Maybe I should check them out a little first next time.

What should Samsung do about the stuck S Pen thing?

That manual screen shot is for some online PDF that isn't shipped with the phone. At least two people on this thread (me and Dridas) took the time to actually read the manuals that came with our phones. No, we found nothing, not even a mentioning of this other online manual. Sorry this "it's in...

What should Samsung do about the stuck S Pen thing?

This instructions that Samsung points us to is in an online PDF that most owners don't even know exist. The paper manuals that came with my Verizon phone say nothing about this, nor about the existence of an online manual. Anyone else wants to check? Maybe there was something that I missed. I...

Don't put your pen in backwards!

Answering my own question... per this Ars Technical article, this "manual" that Samsung refers to didn't ship with the device. Ars Technical was able to hunt down a PDF version online. In the paper guides that I did receive with the phone, there was nothing about not inserting the pen in wrong...

Don't put your pen in backwards!

I like the idea of giving each Note 5 owner one free repair ticket for this problem. Let's hope. Perhaps Samsung can make a little plastic snap-in thing that you can snap into the end of the pen to prevent it from going the wrong way? Then then can send it out to all current Note 5 owners and...

Don't put your pen in backwards!

Where can I find this manual? The "manual" (Getting to Know Your Phone sheet) that did come with my phone has no such warning. Anyway, this says Samsung did know about this! And they chose not to do anything other than stick a warning in a manual that most users will never read. Grrrr!

Don't put your pen in backwards!

Apple Marketing Dept has a great opportunity to do a "Can your phone do this?" ad poking fun at this situation. So much potential for a hilarious ad. Love my Galaxy Note 5 by the way and dreading having to send it in for repairs. Yes I was stupid for doing it. Hoping Samsung can address this.

Don't put your pen in backwards!

This is starting to be covered by the tech press. Search Google News for "Galaxy Note 5 s pen". Also #pengate on Twitter

Don't put your pen in backwards!

I am not sure what Kelly Kearns was describing. For me it went in very smoothly. There may have been a little bit of resistance when the clicker met the notch but it only took a tiny bit of force to push it over. I made a video to demonstrate. Obviously my pen doesn't have the clicker anymore...
