You really should just get proper internet installed in your home. Abusing a phone service like that will only cause problems. I know they say it's "unlimited", but I can guarantee they have some restrictions in the fine print. Besides, cable internet will be amazingly fast compared to VM...

This can be customized through. You can make the virtual buttons behave any way you like. For example, see PIE launcher. It's an incredible example of why virtual buttons are better.

Yes, but on-screen buttons are dynamic. More can be added or the entire container can be hidden depending on what an app needs. That's what really makes virtual buttons superior to hardware buttons.

You need to get yourself a Nexus device. No need to worry about fragmentation. :)
