The wording was changed on August 14 before any pre-orders could be placed. So technically they have the right to do that. However, there will be a public relations fiasco for Samsung if they don't honor their full $425 trade in offer that was credited at the point of order entry.

I think the $25 is for a non functioning phone or a phone that doesn't meet their criteria of being in good condition. The devil is in the details and Samsung has fine print that leaves the customer at their mercy of interpretation and they can essentially decide how to value your trade in. I...

It seems as though the value Samsung places on you being a prior Note7 owner is $125. The maximum trade in value for phones if you didn't own a Note7 is $300, if you were a previous Note7 owner its $425. So at a minimum they should offer prior Note7 owners a minimum $125 for any used phone on...
