Hummm... good question. I never listen to music through any other app, so I don't know if it does it outside of Spotify. I will try it with another app and see what happens. I can also try switching out the cable for a different one and see if that makes any difference. Thanks for the ideas!! :)

When listening to Spotify in my car, I connect it to my stereo through the headphone jack on the phone. Randomly, the volume gets super loud -- and then it'll go back down at the same randomness. It's not at the start or end of a song - so it's not that the volume of the songs are different...

If you turn off EVERYTHING related to location it will go away - at least I was able to make it go away on my Verizon S4. But I ended up learning to live with it bc Google Now won't work without turning on Google Location Services, and that makes the icon come back on.

This is my problem with mine. I have one that I got on ebay that is more of a wallet style that works as a stand and also has a wrist strap. I LOVE the wrist strap! But the edges aren't really protected and if I were to drop it and it land on an edge, I'd be screwed. It does offer more...

Open Gmail, hit the settings button, select General settings, then the second thing - swipe to delete. :) I HATED the update before I figured that one out. Now it's ok.

Also - apparently some of these go away if your phone is in "starter" mode. Go to settings, my device, home screen mode and put the device in standard mode and see if that does it.

I googled it - another forum said "try clearing cache and data for the camera app" and the OP said it worked. Try that. ;)

Just random thoughts - but is your battery fully charged? Could your phone be disabling these features due to a low battery? (My old HTC phone disabled the flash when my battery was too low...) What about other camera settings - are you using the forward facing camera vs the rear facing...

1. No, that is not normal. Any chance you are accidentally pressing the volume rocker switch on the side of the phone? Other than that, I can't think of any reason that would be happening. 2. When you turn on the camera, what do you see? Do you not have a "mode" button right next to the shutter...

I got an off-brand out of Hong Kong from ebay. It was $12 and it has a little wrist strap on it. I will only use it when I got places that I want to carry my phone and not my purse - but in those instances, it's a nice little case.

I'm very happy! No complaints here. :) WAY back in the day I had the HTC G1. Then I upgraded to the HTC Sensation and thought it was an amazing improvement (it was!). And now I've upgraded to my S4 and once again am very impressed by the big step up! It's so much faster and more responsive...
