Yes all my old phones end up with friends and family. Although my Moto phone is now my backup. Always have an extra phone just in case.

I also got one, around Dec 12th, I'm coming from a Moto Z3 play. I really love the more managable size and android one. So far the battery life has been decent. I'm a moderate user, by the end of the day it's usually between 28 - 45% with an average of 5 - 7 hours of SOT. It's only gotten better...

I personally have 2 backup phones, one for myself and another for my husband. They've come in handy more often than not.

Just gave 2 to family members, use one as a security camera in the hotel when traveling. Another two as back ups for my husband and I. The last one I use with Square and PayPal here to take charges at events I participate in. Oh also gave another 2 away to my daughter and her husband.

Yeah I really have a soft spot for my Samsung Galaxy note 4, such a sturdy work horse of a phone. It's been dropped too many times to count, the back of it was hit with a running drill bit. Just had to buy a new back door to fix the damage. With a new battery, which I'm able to replace myself...

I generally keep all my phones, the older ones I use as security cameras when traveling. Just recently gave 2 away to family members. Currently I have 4 phones I refuse to spend more that $250 on a phone. So no flag ships for me, I need a sturdy work horse the glass backs are just too fragile...
