    Android 12 and Android Auto

Thanks, but we are on the Note 10+ thread with Android 12 and AA. And I'm sure that not all Note 10+s are affected by Android 12, but if I know that there is even a small chance, then I would prefer to stay on Android 11 which works fine on my phone together with AA. Sent from my SM-N975F...

    Android 12 and Android Auto

Thank you so much! Because I didn't get any answer until today, I was about to do the update to Android 12. But now I have the confirmation that I shouldn't. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

    Android 12 and Android Auto

For those who use Android Auto regularly with your Note+ and those who upgraded their phone to Android 12, I would like to know if there are still unsolved bugs or problems with the phone and/or with AA version 8. Until a few days before I was still on Android 9, but I finally decided to upgrade...

    Display issues

I already explained to you how to do this (I checked on my tablet with Android 12 and it is almost the same as in Android 9): 1. Go to Settings 2. Tap on Apps 3. Tap on magnifying glass to enter search mode 4. Type Device and look for Device Health Services app 5. Tap on Storage 6. Tap on...

    Display issues

This is not possible. What Android version has your Note 10? Did you follow exactly my explanation or did you look for the app in your apps list? It doesn't show in the apps list because it is a service. You can find it only on the settings..... As of getting in safe mode, see this...

    Display issues

And you can also try a solution I found on the seektogeek site. 1. Go to Settings 2. Tap on Apps 3. Look for Device Health Services app 4. Tap on Storage 5. Tap on Manage storage 6. Hit Reset Adaptive Brightness 7. Enable/Disable Adaptive brightness See if it changed anything.

Then, IMHO, it is a hardware fault. Unless you have any other app installed that controls the display brightness.

    Display issues

Did you check the power savings settings? These could also limit the screen brightness. My Note 10+, 2.5 years old, doesn't have any display problem, I'm using it at half brightness.

    Disable notifications turning on screen

It looks like it is not possible. I also searched the internet for a solution and I found that this is a problem that bothers a lot of people, from years ago. On the other hand, I can tell you that my Note 10+ (still on Android 9) doesn't wake up on notifications at all, exactly like my Note 8...

    Disable notifications turning on screen

Go to settings, search for Lock screen and uncheck Notification. If you press on the Notification line, you'll get a few more options.

Text messages total size in use

This might be true for Messages, but not Whatsapp. See by yourself in the attached screenshots.

Text messages total size in use

Are sure about that? If this is true, why looking at Whatsapp's storage info, the Data category shows only 244MB when I know that all the messages I kept, including media, links and docs, take 22GB, as shown in Settings->Storage and Data in Whatsapp app? How do you explain this?

Did Samsung just intentionally nerf the Note 10?!

Theoretically it shouldn't be any quality loss after a crop operation. Cropping works like taking a piece of paper and cutting parts of it from the sides. The center part of the paper doesn't change, it has the same quality as before. The digital cropping of an image works the same. The only...

Did Samsung just intentionally nerf the Note 10?!

I totally agree, Samsung's smart phones do not perform well in low light conditions. I didn't have the chance to own a Pixel camera, but I doubt that they perform much better in low light and fast action conditions, as a child running between your legs. 20 years ago, when my daughter was born...

Did Samsung just intentionally nerf the Note 10?!

The oil painting effect is due to the low light condition. Again, if the camera takes good pictures in good lighting conditions, then there's no problem with the hardware. The settings you have shown on your Note 4, are still available, but not in the settings menu. You can access them from the...
