Just FYI this is still an issue. I have the latest firmware (1.04) on my 8200nex and a Pixel XL with current updates and get the exact same red screen. Followed Pioneers workaround by turning off AVICSync etc.. tried Pioneers suggested cables, ordered 3 on the list from Amazon, oh well needed...
