Alarm clock icon won't leave status bar [Solved]

This one has bugged me to no avail. I tried everything and could not get it to go away. Ended up being a left over alarm in my Linquet app. Finally, narrowed it down to that, as it was the last app I added before the icon showed up. Even though I disabled all alerts and the smart home controls...

Win Samsung's next new phone from Android Central!

I wouldn't mind making it a new addition to my Samsung collection. I really had hoped they would change it up a bit more and really hope they bring back water-resistance since I love that feature of my S5.

[Closed] Win a Nexus 5X from Android Central!

I've been a die hard Samsung fan for years so much so that I've almost forgot what it was like to use any other device. I'd love to get the new Nexus 5X so that I can see the true Android experience and see what other companies have to offer over what Samsung has been doing.

Note 4 Question about adaptive fast charging

Re: Question about adaptive fast charging The Note 4 has a unique charger, so you need to use the one specific to it. However, that doesn't mean older chargers shouldn't still work at least from my understanding they still should. They'll just be charging at 'normal' speeds.

AT&T Visual Voicemail keeps 4G active even on WiFi

Just in case anyone else saw this problem occurring - it was a bug in that particular version of Visual Voicemail and has addressed the issue and it should be working fine now.

    Kitkat is obsolete already ?!!

Meh - the vast majority of carriers and OEMs have updated their devices to KitKat. Samsung has pushed it out to devices dating back to the Note II. So not sure why you'd only expect to see 'L' on flagship devices. Manufactures do deserve some of the blame for slow updates, but carriers are more...

AT&T Visual Voicemail keeps 4G active even on WiFi

Working with a rather odd experience. Recently we've comes across an issue with the AT&T GS5 showing 4G activity even on WiFi. Doing some research I've seen several posts that have mentioned similar situation with VZW and the CallerID app. However, this being an AT&T phone that isn't the case...

video I took on my S5 won't play audio :(

Double check your camera settings, under camcorder settings > sound and make sure you don't have sound muted. Also double check your speed settings, anything other than normal (1x) sound isn't recorded.

    Case?

I'm a firm believer in putting a case on, not sure that you'd need the expensive otterbox style case but even though they are more 'rugged' phones they still need the added protection. I didn't put one on my S4 Active and it has taken a pretty good beating and you can tell it has lived a rough life.

Email sync turned off. Please help!!

Do you have any battery saving or power management apps installed? Sometimes they shut off auto-sync in order to conserve battery life.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active - Video too large to send, even 1 sec. Long videos?

Sadly it is a carrier limitation issue. Each carrier is a bit different but most of them limit the size of MMS messages to around 600kb. You'll see similar issues if you try to send multiple large pictures.

    S5 vs S5 Active

It has the same water resistant and dustproof rating but not the shock and vibration ratings. As for underwater shots AFAIK it is not possible with the S5 since you can't use a the screen underwater and there isn't a dedicated camera button. Perhaps someone can chime in on that?

    S5 vs S5 Active

IMO - this right here makes it a winner for me Meets US Mil-STD-810G for water-resistance and to withstand dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, humidity, and high altitude. Submersible up to 1m (3 ft) of water for up to 30 mins with covers tightly closed. Rinse promptly to remove...

Assuming you mean the multi-window bar - try turning on multi-window mode: settings - display - multi-window.
