Given how bad this has become over the last few monthand that it's happening to people with cases and without (mine is twisted and I use no case) I would guess that they are bending while in cases and people don't notice till after they remove the case.

I used Google wallet every day for years, then Android pay appeared and it doesn't work properly or reliably with root, so I have not been able to use it with my 6p. Such a shame.
