Error 407 and 700 appearing after update earlier this week.

Thank you VERY MUCH Mustang7757! I was too worried that something could go wrong and I could no longer return the phone, so I moved all my stuff and replicated all settings in another s10+ and then went for a factory reset of the previous one. In case it's useful, after the Factory reset the...

Thanks! So please go ahead and give me directions on how to proceed whenever you have time.

Sure. Thank you VERY much! Probably will not be able to actually do it tomorrow, but I'd be happy to see your instructions, so I'm ready when I can spare the phone, or place the SIM in anther device. Also, what's the risk to brick the phone or void the warranty if I do this?

I did. They offered no solution. Simply said I can return it. Just wondering if the same thing will happen if I exchange it with a new device, same model. Any suggestions?

OK, thanks. I left the permissions alone, went through clearing cache etc. for all the apps you mentioned so far, and ... the phone is still trying to update. Can't go on this way till Samsung decides to provide a new update.

Thanks Mustang7757! I'll leave the permissions alone. By the way, for all the mentioned apps (2 software update, OMADM, and System UI) only Clear cache seems to have an effect (after doing it, it does show 0). Clear data and force stop does not seem to have any effect. Anyway, do you think that...

Thanks for your patience, an perseverance! I cleared data and cache again from the 2 software update apps, and only clear cache was available for System UI. Would it be a good idea to disable permissions?

Did not work :'( The phone just tried to update again. And again at the end I got the message saying Android was successfully updated, and then Firmware update not completed. Any other suggestion?

Thanks! Will do all that for OMAD as well. So basically we have to force stop in order not to be bothered temporarily, and then wait for a new Android update to solve the problem permanently? How long do you think it will take for a permanent fix?

I cleared data on the first Software update app, and then force stop [clear cache was not available]. Clear data and force stop was not available on the second Software update app, so I just cleared cache, and restarted the phone. As before, it started by updating firmware and at the end I got a...

Great. Thanks Mustang 7757 ! I 'll do that as well if I see it starts re-trying to update. [I found out how to quote ;-) ] I'll keep the forum posted.

No, sorry Mustang 7757. I thought each reply was connected to the message I was answering. I see it's not. I was referring to what Laura Knotek wrote.

Re: software update apps. I've done it before, and force stop as well. No difference. Anyway, I did it again now. Cleared cache. Force stop now was not available. Question: somebody suggested I also clear data in those 2 software update apps - can you tell me which data gets erased by doing...
