This may just be apps not being optimized for it yet, but every streaming app I use seems to be broken. Netflix works though, but every other video streaming app does not. Watch ABC, NBC, watch ESPN, CBS, rarely work. I'm using a Nexus 7 2013, and before the update, all of said apps functioned...

I've got a new nexus 7 showing 46% battery remaining after about 5 hours of use (Netflix streaming and web browsing, 8 hours total off the charger.) That isnt bad, however when I checked the battery stats, nothing showed up except "Android OS" at a whopping 98%. That doesn't seem right to me...

I'm a ma'am and no you didn't sound rude. I understand what it does system-wise but it's a glitch when it drains most of my battery without me using any local media on my device. I don't have music stored locally, so I don't know why it does it. Posted via Android Central App

Re: how is your battery life for N7 2013? Mine seems to be anywhere from 6 hours (heavy duty gaming and video watching) to 14-15 hours (web browsing/ebook reading). That always present "media server" app or process is always slurping some of the battery. Its 2013 and that bug is still around...

"Mediaserver" is the only app/service I have trouble with. Keeps eating my battery on new 2013 Nexus 7. How do I disable that?
