Why is plastic never considered a Premium build material?

Simple answer. Low end budget phones are all made from plastic (the hard Fisher Price kind of plastic) with terrible build quality. Whereas high end premium phones are made from metal and glass with superior build quality. Hence why people associate plastic with inferior build quality. Can high...

As of today, best bang for buck 7" tablet???

Amazon's Fire 7 is $33 today, you can't beat the price for it. I just bought the Fire HD 8 for $60. The Fire 7 for $33 only has 8 GB, if you want 16 GB it's $53. Hence why I think the Fire HD 8 is the better deal, it already has 16 GB, has a bigger better screen, has 512 MB more RAM, and has a...

    Newsweek: smartphones near obsolescence

Our refrigerator has lasted 21 years and counting, there's no way a smart phone will reach that kind of lifespan. In fact just this fall the thermostat in the fridge went out, the old lady was hellbent on replacing the fridge with a new one. But instead of spending $1,000+ on a new fridge, I...

128 GB phones: Do you still need SD cards?

SD cards allow you to pop them out and put them into your laptop/computer to transfer files. Unless you enjoy having your phone tethered to your laptop for hours while you transfer 128 GB worth of 4K video. Also, a 128 GB option on most phones costs hundreds of dollars to upgrade. Whereas a 128...

Why doesn't Samsung make an equal to the Ipad?

I recently bought an iPad Mini 4 instead of the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0. Here's the reasons why I picked the iPad: - Cheaper, $300 vs $350 at Best Buy. - Epic battery life. I'm easily getting 12-14 hours of SoT. - No capacitive touch keys. They're located fine on phones, but on tablets in landscape...

How's the Touchwiz lag on the Tab S2?

Well I went to Best Buy the other day to check out the Tab S 8, and I ended up buying the iPad Mini 4 lol. There were too many quibbles with the Tab S 8 that I didn't like, such as the capacitive touch buttons on the side when you hold in landscape, potential TouchWiz lag (I know some of you...

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X (2nd gen)

Stand-by battery life is fantastic now. Doze is the real deal! I unplugged my phone last night at 11pm. Took a screenshot at 7am. It lost 6% battery life overnight. At that rate it should last over 5 days on stand-by. Pretty awesome!
