Perfect Shot-V5 does what you need. I came across it when looking to solve my problem. The LITE (free) version is fully functional but only for images of about 2mp. The paid version allows larger resolutions. However it only works with photos.

I've found apps which do this for photos but none, yet, for videos. Recommendations?

Is there any way that the recording volume can be controlled when taking videos. While fine for general speech in a quiet environment, I find that anything louder-busy street-, can lead to a distorted recording.

Nexus 7 2013. Poor wifi signal. In the room where my laptop shows 2 bars, the Nexus gets no signal. Surely this issue should have been resolved by now!!!
