I've been having the same issue with my wife's phone. Yesterday, she could see she had 36 messages pending download, but they wouldn't load even after reboots. Been an issue for several months, no idea why.... Galaxy S9+ unlocked on Sprint.

That's the article I used for the installation instructions and links. The troubleshooting steps there weren't much help and don't cover my symptoms, though I tried them all anyways. (No luck).

I did. I removed the three I could, reinstalled those three, and restarted with the same results. i.e. the store opens fine, but the apps won't download.

Attempted to uninstall today.... It won't let me uninstall Google Play Services.... I can clear the cache or manage space, but force stop and uninstall are grayed-out...

No VPN. Home wifi connection. Did a factory reset on the kindle first, installed the Amazon updates, then did the four files in order.

It's a kindle fire, so it's wifi only. I went into the settings to change it to data only, and back to both just to try it. Still no love.

I did, for both the play store app and the google Play Services app as well. Forced stop, cleared cache, restarted the kindle, then relaunched the play store. No go. Play Store itself works fine, but I can't actually use it to load the apps. Thanks!

Well scratch that... It cut it back to a minimum, but it's still happening. Not as frequently, but definitely still beeping. After the bulk of the day, it started again. Not a happy camper...

Yup. I disabled them in that app several weeks ago, but the app asks for permission to use them every time it launches. She must have blindly clicked the allow option (though she insists she didn't...)

I dug a little deeper into her apps this morning. Garmin Connect, the app that connects to her activity tracker, appears to be the culprit. Turning all the phone notifications off within that app seems to have worked for now. I'll re-enable them one at a time in a bit, but so far, it's promising!

Forgot to mention that I also turned wifi off all together, and it still did it.

My wife's stock Sprint GS5 is making four short beeps at random intervals, and I can't, for the life of me, figure out what's causing it. It's driving me nuts, keeping me awake at night, and I can't fugue it out! The beeps are a low tone, but it's like Chinese water torture all day and night...
